Anyone make custom decals? I needs one or two made.

I need someone here who makes their own custom decals to make a few for a special build I'm doing.

Yes, I know there are decal transfer sheets you can buy to do this, but I only need a few from my artwork.I just don't want to buy a whole pack of the stuff for a few images. Plus all I have is an inkjet :-(

I own a graphics company and I can make stickers, more like bumper sticker thickness. I don't think this is what you want but just an option if anyone needs any.

I have bought single sheets of transfer printing paper (ebay) in the past for my car models - they can be printed up on an inkjet printer and after-sprayed with car laquer and i always had fine results. (-:

What kind of graphics would you need. I'm an old graphic artist/prepress pro so I can supply _anything_ you can use. I can also do all my images on one sheet so its efficient.

I will take a peek when I get home tonight, but I am sure I still have a handful of those sheets left. I suppose whatever format that is printable will be fine, and I would assume you want them in a high DPI.

 

I would not put them in a Word document since I don't think it handle graphics very well. But if you can put them in one big image file, that would probably work.

Interesting timing on this, as I was thinking of posting a tip discussion on the topic of making waterslide decals for logos and such. Heres a sample of one of mine.

 

I use inkjet waterslide paper, and true text fonts to make those, but you can print anything from text to tattoo flash art.

Its a little tricky learning to manage the thin film, just like whan I was a model building kid, and the background shows up on some surfaces more than others. But it would be hard to do much better at such low cost.
