the edge large boxes

Just wondering if anyone has used these. I have black and brown, they are roughly 2 feet or so long and 6 inches wide. They look like the whole box is rough cedar. I was just curious on the abilities of the lid being used as the soundboard...thoughts?

The edge boxes are great!

The sides and lid are thick rough slices of cedar and he back is ply?
They've got a very nice warm sound IMHO, and more volume than you'd expect. I know ted also really likes these boxes

I'm glad to hear someone say that these Edge boxes sound good.  I'm in the process of making a 3-stringer out of a Battalion box and was wondering if the cedar was too thick.  I'm hoping to auction/raffle it off at an upcoming charity art event, so I'd really like it to sound good.

You're right PK, Ted Crocker does like them. This is one of his. I think it recently came back on sale at $995.

Good morning, Colin. I used an Edge box like the one you posted the link to to make a stomp box. It works great.
