Hi Uncle. I did this before and it worked good. It will vanish in due time but will last for many years. It will return to nature and leave no trace. It took the “slippery when wet” factor away. The pea gravel gives it gripshun. It has given me a good workout. The hill is made of rocks and sand and compressed sod. The sod went into the compost heaps. 4 compost piles are sod hills now.

Thanks AGP. Yup, the 44 Missouri is a personal favorite. I does ground me. The steps will remain rustic. Just slices out of the hill. I did the same thing many years ago. It worked for many years but eventually went back to nature and vanished. This time we used pea gravel to make it less slippery.

Love the 44 Missouri LPG, it's nice to have a build with a significant meaning!, is the Stairway to Heaven a work in progress, or will it retain its Rustic Look ?  :-)

A birth year and state LPG.  That makes it more special.  It looks like you made it hog tight, bull strong and horse high.

Those steps look like they might erode with the weather.  Are you going to do more to them?  Some cut railroad ties or something for steps?  Don't fall down, buddy.

The lake looked cold and dreary.

I really like that LPG with the pickup way up front. Sounds good and looks cool too.

Thanks Denbo. I was born in Missouri in 1944. The plate speaks for me. A little rusty, old and thick metal.
