I saw the same stuff in the comments on other videos of hers unfortunately.  Seems like she keeps getting better to me.  I've mostly only listened to her CBG stuff - which is great, but these videos were the first time I went to check to see if she would be playing nearby.  Friday, August 14.

@John - that's really a shame. There were a few at the show that were the same way during the break. You know the type. Going on and on about it "not being real blues" - whatever that is. I asked one of them, who was pontificating endlessly, who they had played with since he seemed to be such expert on all things blues. He shut up at that point and went back to get another round of drinks. ;-))

@Turtlehead - yeah, CBG or no CBG, Samantha Fish certainly can! I was impressed by how genuine the band came across. And their energy and enthusiasm was refreshing after some of the other more laid back performers I've seen recently. (Oh to be 25 again, right?) BluesBroad has probably posted her entire show on YT by now. I don't know what BluesBroad does for money since she seems to be everywhere recording (with permission) these small shows gratis. But be sure to subscribe to her channel. She's got a lot of really great videos worth seeing there.

Here is a funny story. I posted a Samantha Fish video on a rather well known British resonator guitar forum. No one, and I mean no one had a good word to say. The purists whined and complained about everything. They couldn't see the passion, stage presence, musicianship, and good singing. I finally quit the discussion. Sadly they revealed themselves to be wankers.

Samantha Fish has an undeniable stage presence and charisma. She is the best thing that ever happen to Cigar Box Guitars.

Nice.  She's such a badass.  Great camera work by BluesBroad too.
