oh, yeah.... i forgot...that CBG is a RED DOG GUITAR...
love it, love its sound, well built, and he sent lots of goodies with it...slides, music..ceegars, even...
it is the 'indios' one pictured on '3-strings' page ( with the great sound holes).
JMc is fabulous to deal with...love that song of his, too.
someday maybe i'll be able to play it...even half as well as he did would be fine, but i'm very clumsy with the slide as i normally play individual notes...but i is trying and slowly getting better..z.
Good Luck on Earth Day, will be sending good vibes your way...
love your pics and builds...will check out your vids.
i lived in ABQ in early 90s,too...watched the Jupiter event from NE Heights.
now we live in NE corner near Clayton... where OK,TX and NM meet.
it is only technical that we live in NM...more like NWest Texas... lots of big skies, lots of no people......z.
HI Rinnie! How's that bass coming along? Let me know how it goes - I am looking at building one myself and would like to know what challenges you may have encountered along the way....
Hi there, you asked if I used both jacks at once. I have been using them separately to get different effects from the one instrument but I do have 2 amps or can use one amp and a mixer so I plan to try it out with 2 leads at some stage and see how it sounds - I am guessing that it may be possible to pump up the bass (probably with the coil pickup) as that it has a deper tone and it might give a really full sound
Hi Rinnie, just realised I answered your question about what kind of pup it was on my 3 string on the video and I'm not sure if you get told about that??...so thought I'd answer it on your page....I don't know anything about pick ups!!...was told by the guy who I bought it off it's a piezo...don't know if that's just the make though and doesn't tell you much??
Hi, thanks for your reply about my fiddle/diddly bow....could call it a fiddly bow!!!....will try to get some sort of bridge on it a string and see what it sounds like : -)

I like your profile picture with the crescent moon. It reminds me of this really old picture with my grandparents, maybe from the 1920's?, and my grandma is sitting on the moon. I guess it was some kind of studio prop or something - lol.
I have a radio show on, http://www.wyce.org WYCE 88.1 FM. Monday's 12-3 pm. I play a segment called "Blues Sandwich", and have really learned, to appreciate the history of the blues and the CBG.
Hi, yeh a woman's groups a great idea : -)....seems to be mostly men..and mostly from America on here!.....as a middle aged English woman I feel a bit unusual!! (not always a bad thing)
Mmmm my guitars looked great.....when Derek (Hoggs Grunt) gets them sorted hopefully they'll be playable too : -)...btw how is your slide from Mojobone Works?...he's making me one at the moment,
Belinda (couldn't reply to your message from my inbox... internet or my computer playing up??!! so did it on here : -)
Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
