hey there i just stopped by ta say yep the headstock on that 4 string lap steel i built is really simple. i used the blocks from the inside of a cigar box.these blocks that come in a cigar box is the same size as a cigar and are used in packaging the cigars to make the count in the box come out correctly. for example if you have a box of 25 cigars and you stack them in 2 rows and the top row has a space in it---you put the block in the row under it so that the top row is full.any how i used 2 blocks cut one in half for the sides where the tuners mount and screwed the 4 pieces together to make a square then screwed the square to the level. easy to do. thanks for the comment.

Glad you had a good time at the workshop! I was happy to share all my instruments with the group - get their creative juices flowing! Wonder if any of them will show up at Horner Park?

Hi there PRH,

thanks for the friend invite, which I am delighted to accept, and thankyou very much for your welcomed comments about my builds. I do admit to liking long and thin. This has probably been because of the types of boxed and materials that I have come across. I'm really happy that some people seem to like my 'creations'.

Thanks again.

PRH looks like you have some pretty serious builds yourself! Looks like lots of neat stuff. Have a video of the plane's maiden voyage...might have to post that soon!!! Keep up the good build!!

Thank you for looking! So those "abandoned" groups are good for something after all.
I posted further insight into the guitar I tributed at http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=148977
I need to get this pickup working again! Really has a most interesting tone.

I took the same setup classes (minus building) but about two years ago. I figured I would practice what I learned before taking more and I'm still at it. Specimen is easy to recomend isn't it/they?
Dianne in Chicago is talking about a face to face, maybe next week are you interested?

Hi PRH
Stomp pedal idea. If I was going to make another pedal, I would make the pedal part all in one peice instead of making a heel part. I also have rubber on the base to stop it slipping on the floor.
