Thanks for the kind words, glad you like it! I'm really happy with the way it turned out too! I'm hoping by joining the Uke Group I'll be able to pick up some helpful tips/pointers from the CB vets out there to continue improving upon the previous projects. I've definitely been bitten by the CBU bug, love building these things! Have a great day!
I just logged into my page as well and saw your comment from March. Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate the welcome as well. It is good to be back in Washington. I used to live here for 17 years, and moved away to Texas for 11 years. It is mind-bogglingly beautiful here. I swore never to take the beauty for granted. A street organ huh? Intriguing. Hope to hear from you again soon. Thanks for the compliment on my guitars. I hope to offer workshops on building them soon. I have five with performing musicians, but am most excited about the two with Tiller's Folly.
I saw that in 2009 you were asking if there were any other builders here in Washington state. I arrived here from Texas in September of 2012. So, yes, now there is another builder; maybe more?
I really like your guitars! Especially the 'backpacker' style. And, the cigar box hangers are great. Very nice kokopelli cutout. You certainly have an eye for design. I would like to pick your brain about how you build a uke. Jess
Howdy- just signed on afew days back and just bouncing through the posts trying to learn enough for my first build.
Came across you're from Washington. I am just outside of Puyallup, so giving ya a holler :)
re:thruback photo - if you look at my photo poshneck you will see a block at the right hand end .This is the full depth of the inside of the box and is drilled through for the strings, brass plates are then fitted back and front
Thanks Paul, I have friends who are serious Dead Heads and I may want to build one of those for them. I really love the way you did the soundholes with the red showing from inside and the black finish, sweet!

Thanks Paul. You make some real nice guitars. Wish that I had the skills as you do to make them.
