Thanks for the comment. That looks like a hell of a collection of stringed instruments in your photo !

The piezo and washboard parts were the missing links (for me).
I got the full idea now, thanks.

Good morning,
I looked at the pictures and I see what you're referring to.
Other stomp boxes I've seen have a speaker (acting as a microphone) that amplifies the "thump". You version appears to be completely acoustic (right?).
As the foot goes down the foot plate (?) hits against the vertical board making a noise and is returned to place via the red rubber band.
If I'm way off here I'd appreciate a corrective comment or two.
Thanks for your time,
PRH
Hi Tam - thanks for finding me! I got quite intimate with our back yard over that period and my girlfriend seems to want me to make some more - wonder if that is an excuse to get me out from under her feet!
Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
"My kind of music is folky trad (Celtic) some bluegrass and country,
Recently I have been playing some slow Scottish and Irish tunes using a slide and fretting, Sounds good to me."
Tam, send us some examples. We here in North/South Carolina, US have a station that plays a LOT of folk/Celtic/Irish mix -- which is the basis of most things "mountain" here. There are a LOT if Scottish and Irish descendants here in the Carolinas so this is very popular here.
Hi there...hope oyou can make the fest date..there are a few people in your neck of the woods, so maybe there's scope for travelling down together if folks are up for it.

Thanks -- your reply was helpful. I tabled that project for a bit, but I'm always glad to learn from others.
