Resophonic #1

White maple neck, Grover Tuners, roofing copper with brass eyelets for tail piece, Maple bridge with brass screw...etc. The neck brace is a version I got out of a dobro book I have, I have the book in my shop and will post the name of it,

did you mean is the brace screwed to box? Its not, just lots of gorilla glue spread around. The faceplate is scrwed to top and not touching reso.I will have to redo bridge, its to small (L) which means I will have to widen slot

The wooden support is all glued to eachother with gorilla gel glue( cant stand waiting for things to dry) THen it is glued and clamped to the box. I put to small head panel screws in the back brace, So the neck sits in the pocket and is held with 4 sheet rock screws. As for the bracing, i just put them where I seen in other photos, across bottom for strength across box and the triangular as well for support and to raise the can( everything is gorilla glued. If you see in the 12th pic I did not wind up using second level of braces. The can sits just below lid and acts as a sound hole as well. Let me eat and i'll post pics of bottom of lid(aint nothin special)

Hey Lionel - great looking reso! Love all the photos. Very informative. I've really been wanting to build one myself and your photos have really given me some ideas. I was sort of stumped on the "support" issues but this helps a lot. I understand (or think I do) how all the inside stuff connects. Looks like all screws holding it together. Some questions though, please. Are the internal parts glued together in any way, or is it just the screws? Also, how does it all attach to the bottom of the box? I'm assuming screws with some glue as well. I was hoping there would be a photo of the bottom of the box to show the attachment, but did not see one. Any info is appreciated! - Tom
