Rooster -
Soprano - 13"
Concert - 15"
Grand Concert - 16" ( I have a Kamoa in this scale)
Tenor - 17"
Baritone -19"/20"
I guess you could build an 18" scale and call it a "Grand Tenor", but most (real) ukulele builders seem to be pretty anal about what is "standard" Glad us CBGer's are more open to "No Rules".
Rooster go here:

Type in 17, click calculate
Go here to convert decimals to fractions
http://www.championscrew.com/fractions.htm
OR use fret2find and print it out, no thinking necessary
Dose any body got the scale length in english for a tenor uke.
I'm not the swiftest on numbers so if Y'all could read it off by a tape measure
that would be cool.

thank you for the repnose, Im gonna give it a try. Always sounds complicated at first
go to Fret calculator http://www.stewmac.com/FretCalculator
in "number for frets" box put in "24" (You won't need that many, but better too many.
In "Scale Length" box insert your desired scale length in milimeters
select "milimeters" from the radio buttons
select "dulcimer" from instrument drop down menu
hit "calculate" button.
You will get a table with fret positions calculated in xx.xxx, one column from nut and one column from fret to fret. Use the column "from nut" and mark your fretboard to nearest 1/2 mm.
Your on your way. make sure to post pictures, progress and questions.
the best,

Stewart MacDonald (StuMac.com) has the easiest fret caculator I've ever used. I guess you all knew that, oh well. I found a 28" Dulicmer scale I couldn't find elsewhere. Good building.
Hello All, I am trying to make a CBG that is on a Dulcimer scale.
I really have no idea what Im talking about. Any advice?
Here`s one of the best tools to have in your shop. I`ve been using mine for the last 20 years and have turned on this to alot of builders. http://www.harpkit.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=...
