looking for lowebro plans/ suggestions

Hello  fellow cbn followers; i am looking for some  input ,help,plans, ect to build my 1st. lowebro. i have looked at several pic's here  trying go get idea's is there some willing and able to help me with this . thanks for any help Keith in so.cal.

Hey Keith, just wanted to clarify some things...you're looking for a loweBRO and not a loweBOW, right? If that's the case bop on over to the lapsteel group. You'll likely find some helpful people over there. If you're looking for loweBOW plans, put down your broomsticks and back slowly away before you get "swept" up in propriatory madness (pun intended).

Nah, just using his name is really the issue. Kinda like (not on the same level tho) as this 'Fender' crap going on. I can see Johnny's point when it comes to calling any thing a 'Lowe___". It would make me kinda upset to have anything called a "Chronic Blues ___". And especially when it comes to as close to the Lowebow. Its all in the name I'm sure.

 

Just keepin' it under the boiling point. Peeps gets real hot around these parts on certain subjects.

 

THO... IF you make something like it, then you might be ok BUT I wouldn't really try to copy the Lowebow. None of us here would. Heck, I really don't like the instrument per se, but pAt mAcdonald makes it sound REALLY good. I am building one in the style of Aaron Moreland's and thus will have similar characteristics but its solely because I need that sound for certain songs, not because I want to copy, rip off, or otherwise feel the need to cut in on Johnny's product. It ain't for sale.

Just in case you want to see up close pAt mAcdonald's guitar which YES does sound incredible since I sat 10 feet from him at the CBNation Fest  check out my pictures... I honestly don't like the sound of this guitar, but DAMN he made it sound good...  PS: I didn't know about loweBRO.. Thanks
