Car parts to pickup's?

          Is there a magical car part out there that may have a copper coil of wire in it that you could make a pick up out of?  I am mainly looking for items with copper coils in them......I don't care if it is from a car or not.  I just thought if I could find a cheap part here and there with copper in a wound form, just add magnets, and bam, you got a pickup.....

I just read some of theses ideas on using car parts, I just brought home a handfull of wheelspeed sensors from the shop where I work. I do know that most of them are about 1200 ohms and they can be had for nothing..The ones I have are GM and Ford truck front sensors. I haven't tried them yet but will wire one to a jack and see what happens. They already have magnets in them.

mobile phone chargers - there's a transformer in everyone of them just waiting to find a realy good use - and there's as many chargers as phones .....

They're good for dropping the voltage for CBG amps as well - all the wiring's there for you
